In other words–OMG!–yesterday was “Gnome and squid get their internet back today! Yay!” Day. So, the tentacle-made studios (and by extension Hemlock House) are wireless running the universe again! \o/
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd, I’ve been promising a Reception-y debrief, and now, there’s also an ArtiGras debrief to subject y’all to.
Sooooooooooooooooooo–IT ALL WENT INCREDIBLY WELL!
The reception for spindle’s work, Zellandine’s denouement was fairly well-attended considering NorthCoast Gallery is new gallery in Green Bay (and I’m a relatively young, somewhat-known artist), and the reception was on a Thursday night (which if y’all don’t know, is the traditional day to have a reception for a show).
We even had a little bit of an international contingent (i.e., a Gnome-side-of-the-family was in the states from Germany).
ArtiGras was a fairly decent event. People weren’t buying a lot, but I did manage to sell a few things, which is nice. Have to pay the bills somehow, right? <–Speaking of, I sold at piece at my reception!
The Traveling Treadlers Fiber Guild was in fine form with the girls of Hello Purl, Anne of Shepherd’s Purse, and Tracey of Interlacements…and me, of course, from tentacle-made studios. Other members of the Guild were there too, but I’m not sure if they have company/shop names.
So, yeah. There are more photos of the Traveling Treadlers Fiber Guild here if y’all are interested in them.
…I think I’m going to go collapse somewhere for awhile. I have my semesterly Humanities presentation for Gnome’s class tomorrow (I’m doing two this semester!), and I should probably do things like read my notes and make sure I can follow my own presentation.
Wouldn’t want to get lost.
Not that I would.
