first thing the first: the featured image doesn’t really have anything to do with this post–okay, that’s not entirely true because i’ll have prints of this illustration of the glorious gilmore casting disintegrate available at plattecon this weekend.
miles of art is, like, tomorrow, so yeah, i’m going to be at woodland studios all weekend with my art (and woodbody’s and ben’s), but if you’d like a preview (or if you can’t go), ben created one of those 360 not-video things of the exhibit.
it’s pretty swank.
and, on to other things! including brown county library’s comic con.
*tra lala la la*
sooooo, in case anyone missed it, i have new work up at Glas here in Shawano, which is very exciting.
so, yeah, for the millionth time, the pop! show’s reception is from 5-8pm tomorrow night at the ARTgarage in Green Bay.
come on by and see visual culture-oriented art–whether it’s graffiti or fanart or pop art–and have the chance to ask the artists what they were really thinking.
it’s like a game! but, with booze! it’s a booze-game!
…i might be kinda punchy right now?
i totally have clown-fear.
okay, first things first, WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT YEAR WHEN MY SKETCH-A-DAY RUNS OUT? should there be another sketch-a-day? a year-long inktober? (idk about that one.) more videos? WHAT ARE Y’ALL’S OPINIONS ON THE THING?!?!?
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE MORE OF?!?!?!?
so, yeah, super-busy. click the play button on the video to find out all about it, because–boy-howdy–it’s kinda epic in the busy-ness.
and, there is totally a NaNoWriMo pep talk hidden in that video. and comic recs.
I HAVE BEEN BEE-LIKE.
and, i’ve gotten further along in the my little pony piece for the pop culture show.
so, i have one more pony (fluttershy) and spike to design, and then i can do the thing where i paint.
*IS NOT IN ANYWAY, SHAPE, OR FORM HYPERVENTILATING*
i have, however, already finished khoshekh.
i’m sorry i’m in a hurry today. trick-or-treaters and all.
i do have a couple of other videos that y’all might be interested in:
if you like what i do video-wise or art-wise, maybe consider doing the thing where you become my patron on patreon. i have nifty prizes that i never get to use.
okay. spoopy and candy and costumes–GO!
so–i’ve been busy again, especially since i just picked up reviewing several comic series for The Rainbow Hub: Pretty Deadly by Kelly Sue DeConnick, The Wicked + The Divine by Kieron Gillen, Sex Criminals by Matt Fraction (who wrote Hawkeye), and Saga by Brain K. Vaughn (who wrote Runaways).
my Sex Criminals and Saga recap reviews come out later this week, but DECONNICK AND GILLEN BOTH REBLOGGED MY REVIEWS ON TUMBLR.
is this real life?!?!
