first thing the first: the featured image doesn’t really have anything to do with this post–okay, that’s not entirely true because i’ll have prints of this illustration of the glorious gilmore casting disintegrate available at plattecon this weekend.
so, i’m heading out to AMKE in, like, an hour.
i’m going to be vending in the artist alley in booth E2, so y’all should stop by and see me.
*quietly freaks the fuck out*
NERDCON: STORIES IS FRIDAY! \o/
gnome and i leave tomorrow morning for load-in and set-up, and i’m having a bit of a THING because i always do~
but, before i do the talky-talky about nerdcon: stories, i wanted to thank everyone who came to the first annual brown country library comic con and thank the library for letting me participate!
so, i kinda have been in hibernation since kitsune kon because i’ve been prepping for wizard world chicago (re: rosemont) on the 18th.
and, the final depere art walk of the season which is this friday. (i’m at the abbey, btb. y’all should come see me and my new swaggy print/banner display.)
like, kitsune kon starts friday at 2pm. i’m in booth N8. (i’m in sight-line of tasty peach studios! <3 )
and, i have new swag with which to tempt y’all: 11×14 posters *gestures emphatically at the featured image*, pillows, new buttons designs. and, that’s in addition to all the things that i already carry.
so. much. swag.
and, it’s coming on may 6-8th.
THAT’S VERY SOON.
although–RIGHT NOW–i’m on-hold on a live chat with overnight prints WAITING TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO TWO SETS OF MY PRINTS. there is no chill, and i’m lowkey murderous because i’ve been on-hold a weirdly long time. okay, so they were printing when i finally got a hold of someone. (let’s hope that what i was told was accurate.)
and, this week–on thursday the 21st–i have gallery nite where i’ll be all tucked in at the ARTgarage. i’ll have an abbreviated selection with me at gallery nite.
so–i’ve been busy again, especially since i just picked up reviewing several comic series for The Rainbow Hub: Pretty Deadly by Kelly Sue DeConnick, The Wicked + The Divine by Kieron Gillen, Sex Criminals by Matt Fraction (who wrote Hawkeye), and Saga by Brain K. Vaughn (who wrote Runaways).
my Sex Criminals and Saga recap reviews come out later this week, but DECONNICK AND GILLEN BOTH REBLOGGED MY REVIEWS ON TUMBLR.
is this real life?!?!
so–the last definitely depere of 2014.
i’ll be at Great Harvest Bread Co. in depere on september 12th from 5-8pm
bring your friends. bring your enemies.
so, because of a slip-of-the-tongue in a video a week or so ago, i now have flop-bunnies.
and, because i’m a glutton for punishment, i’m participating in the Pop Culture Show at the ARTgarage in January.
