I have no title; there is not title.

IDK, I’m just not feeling clever, I guess.

So, been up to my pointed little ears in work:  I finished a new piece, and I’m in the middle of two more; the new Quarter is starting at the ARTgarage; I photographed a Supernatural cosplay; Definitely DePere is a week away; and I’m teaching a bunch of classes for the ARTgarage is the following months.

Busy is a squid.

So, I guess, let’s start with the two pieces I’m in the middle of, shall we?

spindle’s work, Zellandine’s denouement: A Rose Window
(working title; in-progress)
spindle’s work, Zellandine’s denouement: The Queen’s Mirror
(working title; in-progress)

So, obviously-not-obviously as pieces from the spindle’s work, Zellandine’s denouement series, they’re missing their spun-bits.  They’re coming, I swear; I actually have 2/3 of the art yarn for A Rose Window crocheted up.

…they’re kinda taking forever. *sigh*

But!  I also just finished a new piece that’s going to be up at the ARTgarage during this Quarter.

I think they converse quite well.  What do y’all think?

Someone I know commented that there is a definite gendering that’s occurring here–she wasn’t wrong.

They go up tomorrow.

Oh, and since we’re talking about the ARTgarage and all, I’m selling art yarn and art batts in the ARTgarage’s gift shop–if y’all need tentacle-made yarn for yourselves since things keep getting in the way of me putting it up on Etsy.

I NOW KNOW WHERE I WILL BE FOR DEFINITELY DEPERE!!!  I WILL BE AT GYRO KABOBS!

Yes, this is a weird place to be.  Do I care?  Absolutely not!  They have kabobs.

So, y’all should come down next Friday and have kabobs and see art!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, the freshly scrubbed studio.

Sorry for the hodge-podge post.  This is what happens when everything is happening at once.

Courage.

An overly productive week, i.e., ArtWalk piece completed.

ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED! *\o/*

So, the piece for the ArtWalk show/competition/thingie was a ridiculously multi-stepped process and all the mixed media.

Seriously, this think is like 5 feet of schizophrenic.  Welcome to my brain, yeah?

So, yeah, can we say Cronenberg?  ‘Cause I totally have those references going on.  And Lovecraft and eldritchian tendencies.  Seriously, body horror, vagina dentata, and the Uncanny are totally my jam.

Ginger Snaps?  Totally one of my favorite movies.

Naked Lunch?  I saw it when I was, like, 11. <–I kid you not; my brother brought it home to watch.  I was home sick with the worst flu ever and watched Rocky Horror Picture Show, Gothic, and Naked Lunch all in the same day.

With a 103 temp.

Somehow, I think this may be to blame for me and my visceral, bodily, grotesque (but in really bright colors!) art thing I’ve got going on.  Don’t y’all?

…it probably also explains the wiggins I get from anything with more than 10 legs.

THANK YOU, YVES CLOQUET, YOU CREEPY BASTARD.

Though, Julian Sands, yeah?

…maybe it’s just a Julian Sands thing.  He was in both Gothic and Naked Lunch, and he kinda looks like Richard O’Brien.  That’s a very interesting coincidence.

But the title is a reference to Galactus, Eater of Worlds.

*dooooooooooooooooooooooooork*

But!  It seemed like a reasonable title, even though there are also references to the Necromongers, the Narada, starfish, and octopodes.

…and maybe a touch of the Shadows from Babylon 5.

So, loads of references=me. *SIGH*

Also, because I’m kinda a freak and evidently an exhibitionist now, I made more of those not-instructional videos while I was working.

*HANDS*

IDEK.  Really, why am I doing this?

Okay.  Yeah.  I’m going to go now.

Remember there’s an opening at the ARTgarage for the First Quarter artists.  *waves*  And, I’m teaching a spinning class on Saturday, so if y’all want to take it, y’all need to sign-up for it super-quick.

Courage.

Presenting spindle’s work, Zellandine’s denouement.  Up close and personal.

For y’all’s joy and art-ness.

Okay, I know that I showed y’all an installation image, but meh, wouldn’t y’all like to see them closer?

So, yeah, that’s the series so far.  There’s more pieces coming, probably for the next quarter at the ARTgarage.

Oh, also, I build a knitty knotty today out of PVC pipe. <–Melissa from Hellp Purl has one; that’s where I got the idea.

And, if y’all are looking for something to do this Friday:

Come to Circus Nerve.  You know you want to. *wriggles fingers tentacles hypnotically*

Courage.
