for those of you just joining the show, i’m your host ‘trie (sounds like “tree”), and i’m a mixed media, conceptual artist and writer who has recently become a con-kid/exhibitor, doesn’t like capitalization, and lives in the backwoods of wisconsin.
which makes being a con-kid and an artist a little bit difficult.
at least the trees recognize me as one of their own.
first thing the first: i’m having a giveaway over on my tumblr. fantastic prizes await the winner! (or, something?)
i dunno about y’all, but i have the worst worst winter doldrums usually and this year in particular.
but–okay–before i really get into things and THINGS (bs there’s always things), can we just talk about how increasingly traumatic and upsetting (in an educational way) steven universe is becoming? while still being an amazing show? like, especially in regards to pearls, the expansion of the homeworld’s purview, and trans-gem fusion (otherwise known as slavery, colonialism, and miscegenation)?
potentially exciting things are happening here at tentacle-made studios in the new year!

with a little bit of holiday bonus! \o/
okay, so, here’s the thing–i’ve been making videos and making (slowly) art and doing things, and because work and brain space and the general suckage which is a body that doesn’t work the way that i want it to, i haven’t been getting things posted the way i really, really want to: not here, not patreon, not youtube, not redbubble–nowhere.
it’s very frustrating, so this is gonna be a kind big post.
i’m not sure i have anything exciting to talk about today–which is a lie because i always do–but i always seem to draw a blank once i get here.
or–more of the same. who knows.
BUT! happy new year (day 2), y’all. we made it, which is something i wasn’t sure was going to happen.
